Miley Cyrus At Her Absolute Cutest In #TBT Hannah Montana Auditions

Miley Cyrus has certainly come a long way from her Hannah Montana roots. But watching this video featuring her various auditions for the Disney Channel show, it's also clear that her bubbly personality and professional determination have remained consistent since her child-star years. Originally posted in 2012, the video has just resurfaced today. First, we see the curly-haired little girl reading lines in what appears to be her living room. (And as cutting-edge as her current 'dos are, god, those are some beautiful locks she used to have!) Clip by clip, the 12-year-old gets further into the audition process, eventually reading and singing with dad Billy Ray, who went on to co-star as Miley Stewart's dad Robby. The sight of the father-daughter pair singing together is almost too adorable to bear. "I auditioned forever. At first they said I was too small and too young," Cyrus told USA Today back before Hannah Montana premiered in 2006. Eventually, of course, they saw the light. Disney Channel's entertainment president at the time, Gary Marsh, told the paper that in Miley, "we saw a girl who has this natural ebullience. She loves every minute of her life. It shows in her demeanor and performance." That love kept showing long enough to make the series a hit through 2011, when she left to become a grown-up star — and it certainly continues to show now.
