Jon Stewart Calls Out The Problem With Caitlyn Jenner

You'd be hard-pressed to find a media outlet that's saying anything but supportive comments about Caitlyn Jenner. But, that doesn't mean there's not a problem with the way we're all discussing her. Jon Stewart pinpointed this exact issue in a segment of The Daily Show. "It's really heartening to see that everyone is willing to not only accept Caitlyn Jenner as a woman," he told audiences, "but to waste no time in treating her like a woman." He's talking about the way both the media, and everyone in general are primarily focusing on Jenner's looks. Stewart shows examples of how people are already talking about whether she's more beautiful than her Kardashian family members, Stewart called this her "comparative fuckability." Not to mention the comments floating around about how Jenner looks good for her age. Stewart says this is a reminder that "she has an expiration date now." In the segment, Stewart addressed Jenner directly. "When you were a man, we could talk about your athleticism, your business acumen, but now you're a woman, and your looks are really the only thing we care about." This echoes a similar sentiment Laverne Cox shared about Jenner, too. The Daily Show host ended his address to Jenner with a somber greeting. "Welcome to being a woman in America."
