While sure summer is just getting started, and its new TV game is pretty damn strong. Network execs are a very forward-thinking bunch, which is why they convened earlier this month in New York City to reveal what's on tap for fall. Each network hosted a presentation called an upfront (or, in the case of digital platforms such as Yahoo and Hulu, a newfront) to provide advertisers and media buyers with tantalizing ad placement opportunities.
It's not all advertiser flattery, though. The upfronts and newfronts have a silver lining for all TV lovers. Over time, they've also become an opportunity for reporters to see previews of what to expect on TV (and streaming platforms) that fall.
