3 Top French Athletes Killed In Reality Show Helicopter Crash

The sports world is in mourning following the deaths of three top athletes in a helicopter crash yesterday, the BBC reports. The sports stars, all of whom hailed from France, had been in Argentina filming a reality show when the accident occurred.  A total of 10 people died in the crash, the result of two helicopters colliding. Among the deceased were Olympic swimmer Camille Muffat, 25; sailor Florence Arthaud, 57; and Olympic boxer Alexis Vastine, 28. There were no survivors.
Muffat, Arthaud, and Vastine were in Argentina to film Dropped, a French reality show featuring various athletes. The three posed with their fellow contestants for a final selfie not long before the accident. The three victims can be seen on the right.
Members of the Dropped film crew were also killed in the crash, as were two pilots. Our thoughts go out to their loved ones.
