Susan Sarandon has called time on her May-December romance with SPiN New York co-founder Jonathan Bricklin.
Page Six reports that the 68-year-old actress split with the 37-year-old ping pong enthusiast after five years of dating. The breakup is said to have been triggered by disagreements over a reality show featuring the couple.
Sources told Page Six that the pair were slated to appear on Morgan Spurlock's new AOL series, Connected. The show features six New Yorkers who must document their lives — and their partners' lives — for six months.
Apparently, the Oscar-winning actress was reluctant to appear on reality TV and have her personal life caught on camera.
“It caused a lot of strain in the relationship,” one source said. “It’s documented for the show that Susan breaks up with him because she doesn’t want to be involved with the show. She says, ‘You’re a cast member, I’m not.’”
That said, things might not be over for good. The source added that “as of now, they’re working on things."
Until then, reality TV fans can presumably watch it all play out on camera? [Page Six}
