Step aside, Ben Affleck. It's Jennifer Garner's time to shine. The actress and mother of three is ready to get back into Hollywood.
Speaking to reporters at a promotional event for her new movie Danny Collins, Garner revealed her eagerness to get back into the acting saddle. "I've been home for a long time. It's my turn," she said, "and I'm going to go to work this spring."
Garner has been choosey about how she balances her home and work life. Her husband, Ben, has prioritized his career over the past year with big-name films like the screen adaptation of Gillian Flynn's novel Gone Girl and a new Batman franchise.
"I chose to stay home this year and just said, 'Go for it babe,'" Garner said before adding that, when it comes time for her to work on her career, they'll figure it out.
This year, Garner will star alongside Al Pacino in Danny Collins, a story about how one letter from John Lennon inspired an old rock star to pick his life up and turn it around. She also has The Tribes of Palos Verdes, a surfing movie that's still in pre-production.
Garner admitted her kids got a kick out of her role in last year's Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, so perhaps more children's movies could be in the pipeline, as well.
"I don't think my deals are done yet so I can't say," Garner confessed, "but yeah, I'm about to go to work." (Us Weekly)
