If you were a kid in the late '90s/early '00s, this one's going to hit you right in the feels. Jovian, the lemur who starred in PBS Kids show Zoboomafoo, died Monday at the age of 20 (well, 20 and a half, if anyone's keeping track). Go on. It's okay to cry.
Yesterday, Duke University announced the sad news on Facebook. The beloved Coquerel's sifaka passed at the Duke Lemur Center, which is where he filmed much of Zoboomafoo. The animal show was hosted by brothers Chris and Martin Kratt from 1999 to 2001.
"He was very social and calm," Martin said in the Duke obituary. "He was young and good-looking and very gentle." Let's not forget totally adorable and lovable. Jovian leaves behind a partner, Pia, his brother, seven children, and four grandchildren.
Leave some mango slices out for this little dude. You'll be missed, Zoboo.
