Still coming to terms with Effie Trinket's drab, stripped-down makeunder in Mockingjay: Part One? That's all the more reason to grab a copy of Elle's November issue, which hits newsstands on October 21.
Elizabeth Banks is one of eight leading ladies to grace the magazine's Women in Hollywood issue. She and fellow cover stars Jessica Lange, Tina Fey, Zoe Saldana, Jennifer Garner, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Annette Bening, and Brie Larson will also be honored at the Women in Hollywood Awards tomorrow.
In contrast to Effie's sad new gray outfits and de-glammed appearance, Banks is pitch-perfect in a metallic Carine Gilson bra and matching highlights. That orchid she's nibbling on could have easily been plucked from one of Effie's fabulous fascinators. Man, we miss those fascinators.
Anyway, it's good to see Elizabeth/Effie in any form. Go forth and get thee an issue or Katniss will have to have a word.
