Danny DeVito Is Joining One Direction (Kind Of)

What kind of bizarro world are we living in?
In a move that should surprise precisely everyone on the planet, the precious young men of One Direction have teamed up with the brilliant and diminutive Danny DeVito, who will appear in the band's upcoming "Steal My Girl" video.

According to recent photos from the video shoot, DeVito plays an eccentric music video director and the boys appear as, well, themselves. The video's actual director, Ben Winston, told The Daily Mirror, "You should expect the unexpected on this one. It’s weird and wonderful."
Clearly, this is just another instance of One Direction's ongoing affair with Hollywood. They can count Martin Scorsese as a fan, Susan Sarandon took up their ice bucket challenge, and their well-coiffed heads have even appeared on Sesame Street.
Which means we're betting there has to be a little more to DeVito's character. Will he devour raw fish as Harry Styles's locks sway in the breeze? Will he get falling-down-drunk with Zayn Malik? Will he try to throw Niall Horan from the train?
We're hoping it will maybe be something hilarious, like a sequel to Twins (Sextuplets?) in which DeVito and the guys in the band are all brothers. Fingers crossed. (Billboard)
