Photo: Courtesy of FOX.After 25 years on air, The Simpsons may include a rape joke in its next episode. On Sunday, September 28, the show will feature a crossover plot featuring Family Guy characters.
The distasteful joke first appeared in a trailer for the crossover event at Comic-Con in July. In the clip, Bart's showing Stewie his traditional prank calls to Moe's Tavern. When Stewie asks for a turn at the juvenile act, his attempt flops: "Hello Moe, your sister's being raped."
It's surprising to see this nature of humor appear on a show that's gone so long without stooping to such an offensive level. Family Guy, however, is known to push boundaries, never shying away from controversial jokes such as this.
Neither FOX nor the FCC has immediately responded for comment. We sincerely hope this joke doesn't make it onto one of the most beloved shows on television. Imagine what Lisa would say. (Independent )
