Zach Braff Gets Deep In This Exclusive Wish I Was Here Clip

The first trailer for Zach Braff's eagerly anticipated, crowd-funded follow-up to Garden State arrived in April. It was full of your typical movie-trailer moments: bursts of sunlight, triumphant surfacing from underwater, running, jumping, crying, and hugging. Still, despite several flashes of the film's surely poignant moments, it was hard to know exactly what to feel.
This exclusive clip, however, has us jonesing for some new Garden State-esque action. In it, Braff's character leads his two young kids to his deeply spiritual epiphany spot. They're too young to understand their dad's need to have moments and personal breakthroughs, but the viewer can definitely appreciate his thoughts about life and being stuck in the same place.
In fact, moved by the concept of an epiphany spot, Focus Features is asking fans to share photos of their own life-defining locations for the chance to win an "unforgettable journey of a lifetime." Wish I Was Here moves itself into theaters on July 18.
