Kelly Clarkson Gives Birth Baby Daughter River Rose

According to a Twitter announcement (who needs formal cards anymore?), Kelly Clarkson has given birth to her first child, a baby girl. Welcome to the world, Little Miss Independent!

The 32-year-old singer tweeted: "Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!!”

The American Idol winner announced her pregnancy in November, just a month after marrying Brandon Blackstock, Reba McEntire's stepson, in a small wedding ceremony in Tennessee. Blackstock also has a son and daughter from a previous marriage.

So, how soon before River starts booking playdates with Simon Cowell's infant son, Eric? Another thought: This kid is definitely getting the best crib-side lullabies. (People)
