Macarons For Your Lips

Sometimes, it's like our favorite beauty brands can read our minds. Drugstore darling Nyx, already a major fave in our books for their incomparably fantastic matte lipsticks, must have psychically overheard the beauty team's collective group think about wishing we had more off-the-wall lipstick hues to play with. How else to explain their new Macaron Lippies?
Available in an array of neon and pastel shades, looking at this collection gives us the same childish, anticipatory thrill as staring at a colorful display of the signature sweets at Ladurée. Available in nine bright shades — plus black, white, and gray — this collection is making our summer infinitely brighter. Why haven't more drugstore brands embraced the world of weird and wonderful lipsticks? There is just so much fun to be had here.
After playing around with these a bit, we have a few pointers. They do go on a bit sticky, so we found the best way to wear these is as a tint. Swipe a full coat over your lips, use your fingers to smear it, and then blot to create a cool, matte hue. That's actually great news for offbeat lip color newbs — wearing one of these as a tint let's you play around with the ghost of a weird color, so you can decide if you're up to wearing bright blue, green, or gray as a full, opaque lip look.
