During a talk at the Apple Store in London last night, the Texas-born designer announced that he and his longtime partner, former fashion editor Richard Buckley, have married. Who needs a fancy announcement in the Sunday Times, right?
"We are now married, which is nice," Ford told interviewer Kinvara Balfour of his relationship, flashing his wedding ring at the audience. "I know that [same-sex marriage] was just made legal in the U.K. which is great; we were married in the States."
The 52-year-old didn't reveal when the secret nuptials took place, though a quick online search shows Ford wearing what appears to be a wedding band as early as February. The couple welcomed son Alexander John Buckley Ford in September 2012. Naturally, we're imagining matching Tom Ford tuxedos and one very cute baby ring bearer. No hard feelings, Tom and Richard, we're sure our invitation got lost in the (secret) mail. (Vogue U.K.)
