Justin Bieber Covers Rolling Stone (Gasp!) Topless

Rarely does Rolling Stone give a celebrity the cover, if they haven't posed for original photography or granted the mag an exclusive interview. But, Justin Bieber's downfall has been so swift and so compelling that the venerable magazine has decided to remind us all what he looks like sans shirt — by splashing him across the front of the latest issue despite his failure to meet the above criteria.
"Bad Boy: Why Justin Bieber Just Won't Behave," reads the cover line. We have our own theories on that, which we won't expound on here for fear of being systematically taken apart by an army of Beliebers. Rolling Stone has its theories, too, and according to the magazine, the root of Bieber's antics stem from his father. Sources point to Bieber's poppa as a big, bad influence, claiming he treats his son more like a friend than an impressionable youth for whom daddy-o should be setting an example.

The article also delves into the now-infamous intervention that took place in Panama immediately following Bieber's DUI arrest. According to the magazine, Bieber's mom, Pattie Mallette, mentor Usher, and manager, Scooter Braun, all visited with the superstar to have "a conversation, reminding him of the people who care about him." There's also a revealing anecdote about The Biebs breaking down backstage after a 2010 concert; the first crack in a veneer that had, until then, been air tight.
We can't imagine Bieber's camp will be too pleased with the piece, which goes to great lengths to remind us all what we have known for quite some time: Justin Bieber is in a very bad place. (Rolling Stone)
