His career has taken him from soap-town to Ocean's Eleven to critically acclaimed, complex movies like Michael Clayton. His love life has long been the subject of light mockery, but you don't see him photographed much out and about. His life, unlike that of most celebrities, is actually pretty private. And, because he doesn't have a hugely built-up personality and takes on a pretty versatile body of work, we don't know too much about what he's really like. Well, we don't know how reflective this Reddit AMA is of anything real, but this version of George is one we quite enjoy.

The original looker took to Reddit for a little interview, digging deep and finding questions with negative karma to deposit little nuggets of joy all over the Internet. The absolute best moment? When asked why he has such lonely eyes, he responded: "I actually have only one lonely eye. The other eye’s got nothin’ but friends."
Then, when asked how long it took his roommate to figure out it was indeed Mr. Clooney who defecated in the litter box: "It took him a long time to figure it out. At first he figured out that I'd done it and then he found I spent the whole week planning it out. And, if you know Richard Kind's work from Spin City or other things he's a big, loud guy. Once he fully realized what was going on, he just yelled, "I understand humor; defecation doesn't make me laugh." Which I suppose should go on someone's tombstone."
