Bosom Buddies, the Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari sitcom that aired from 1980 to 1982, must've made a huge impact on Adam Scott. On Thursday, Adult Swim aired the fourth installment of The Greatest Event in Television History, a series the Parks and Recreation actor created to pay homage to the influences of his youth. In the last three episodes, Scott remade the openings from Simon & Simon, Hart to Hart, and Too Close for Comfort. The latest is his shot-for-shot re-creation of the Bosom Buddies opening titles in which Hanks and Scolari dress up in drag so they can get away with living in an inexpensive hotel for women.

But, a straight remake wouldn't be all that funny, though, so Scott enlisted Paul Rudd to play his foil. Rudd goes deep into his method acting, researching the weather of 1980s New York, sourcing a rare Rubik's Cube, and even sleeping with Scott's wife, which doesn't really have anything to do with playing a man in a dress. He also makes a number of '80s jokes — "Did you hear? Richard Pryor, he burned himself!" — which may go over the heads of the Apatowian generation of Rudd fans. But, that only makes this spoof richer.
