Sometimes, the beauty gods deliver a product so different, so unprecedented, and so innovative that we just don't know what to think. Such is the case with Dreamdate NYC, a forthcoming line of tween-targeted lip glosses with applicators shaped like real lips. Life-sized, puckering, smoochy lips. According to a press release from the brand, Dreamdate NYC is "the world’s first lip gloss with a real-life lip applicator which mimics the lips of our tween consumers’ dream date."
It's been, uh, a few years since we were teens, so the idea of locking lips with our gloss isn't exactly our cuppa. But, thinking back to those days before our first-ever kiss, it's easy to see how this product could seem pretty daring (forbidden kisses!) to 11-year-olds daydreaming of One Direction. The question is, will their parents be keen on buying lip gloss for them? And, even more so, gloss that acknowledges their budding sexuality?
