We’ve Fallen In Love — With A Nail Polish

Every so often, a beauty product comes along that's exactly what you've been hoping for; that perfect formula, finish, and color that you've simply needed in your life. I've been searching that perfect fall nail polish for months now (don't make fun, it's my job) — a color that's glamorous, moody, and, most importantly, not what every other NYC woman is wearing on her tips.

Well, little did I realize that not only would I find the polish shade of my dreams, I would be presented with a whole new nail polish line that seems to have been created with my exact standards in mind. A full-coverage yet fast-drying (and long-lasting) finish. Satisfyingly big, chunky bottles that are easy to hold and pretty to look at. A color range that literally has almost every single color that I'd need — from a deep navy to the perfect red to, my personal favorite, this multidimensional gold-bronze metallic entitled Invite Only. Oh, and P.S., the whole line is not only three-free, but five-free, meaning that the polishes, basecoat, and topcoat are all free of formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene, formaldehyde resin, and camphor.

Founder Kitiya King (who is a licensed chemist and cosmetologist) was inspired to create her own line of high-fashion, non-toxic polishes when she became pregnant with her son — but, really, whether we're mothers or not, we could all probably do without those chemicals on our fingertips. Besides, these colors? Let me just say that while wearing this polish, I got a compliment on the color, at a wedding, at around 2 a.m., when all of us were barely coherent. This polish may be healthy, but it is out-of-control pretty, too.
