Kate Middleton’s Plans For The Royal Christening

Little George Alexander Louis is growing up so fast. It seems like just yesterday we were watching the St. Mary's live feed just waiting for a glimpse of the newborn, and now it's already time for his official christening. Luckily for those of us who just can't get enough of the adorable baby Prince of Cambridge, the palace is leaking a few of Kate and Will's plans for the big day. It will all go down this Wednesday at 10 a.m. EST, at The Chapel Royal at St. James Palace. The venue is slightly nontraditional (as is the norm for Mom and Dad), and it also holds a special place in William's heart as the location where Diana's body was kept before her funeral. During the event itself, George will wear the official royal christening gown — yes, that is a real thing. It's been passed down through the generations, and even baby Will donned the getup for his own christening.
During the ceremony, we'll be privy to who the royal couple choses as their son's godparents. Even though tradition calls for a set of three, Will and Kate are going all out with six total godparents. Royal watchers have their money on more of the Duke and Duchess' friends joining the godparent gang. After all is said and done, three generations of royals will gather for an official portrait, giving us all the opportunity for another look at the wee one. Now, the only thing left to wonder about is just what Mama Kate will choose to wear for the big event. (Today)
