The holiday season is fast approaching, and that means one thing: The Victoria's Secret fashion show. (Okay, so maybe it means several things). Whatever your opinion on the big event, there's no denying that there's a certain fascination in watching beautiful women strut down a runway wearing the most elaborate lingerie ever. This year's show is going to up the ante even more, as Victoria's Secret just announced that the infamous Fantasy Bra (you know, the one worn by Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum and Alessandra Ambrósio?) will be worn by none other than angel Candice Swanepoel. And, the bra is the line's most expensive yet, ringing up at a cool $10 million.
Just how does a bra cost $10 million, you ask? For starters, jewelers hand-laid more than 4,200 rubies, diamonds, and yellow sapphires in 18-karat gold. That's all topped off by a 52-carat, pear-shaped ruby. As you can imagine, wearing this bad boy is no walk in the park. "I’ve never worn anything this pricey, and we have to put gloves on when we put it on," Swanepoel told People. "It’s kind of a big ordeal. The bra comes with two bodyguards and we have to handle it with a lot of care!" The model also divulged that she's more than a little nervous to have all eyes on her during the fashion show. After all, the stakes are quite a bit higher than your average modeling gig. But, if anyone's up for the task, we think it's Candice. (People)
