The latest in way too good to be true (see puppies, kittens, and other cute, tiny things) is Davines’ annual Sustainable Beauty Day. On Monday, October 7, select salons in the United States and Canada are teaming up with the Italian hair care brand to give you a free haircut or blow out for a good cause.
If there's a "catch," it's that clients are asked to donate a minimum of $15, all of which will go to The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation (FTPF), an international nonprofit dedicated to planting fruitful trees and plants. Last year’s Sustainable Beauty Day contributed to the planting of nearly 6,000 trees in South America. This year, Davines and The FTPF are supporting American Indian communities in the Southwestern United States.
To help out, reach out to a participating salon near you. Because, really, how often can you say you helped plant a tree by getting a free salon service? We’re guessing this might be it, but we wouldn't have a problem with it becoming a regular thing.
