WATCH: Your Daily Dose Of Inspiration, Courtesy Of Patti Smith

Before you go grabbing that third (maybe fourth) cup of coffee to help you grind through the final hours of the 9-to-5, listen to Patti Smith. We came across this little gem from last summer today and, although it's news per se, we just felt we had to share.
Because sometimes all it takes is a few encouraging words to get you amped. Here, the poet/musician/artist talks about what it means to live in this "adolescent" age of technology, plus she shares some very poignant words on popular music. And, recalling some advice William Burroughs gave her, she says: "Build a good name. Keep your name clean. Be concerned about doing good work. Protect your work, and if you build a good name, eventually that name will be its own currency." Amen.
You can catch the full discussion above. Trust us, Smith's words will do more than just energize you — they'll revive you (and save you the trouble of that nasty caffeine headache). (Louisiana Channel)
