We're used to seeing Gwen Stefani in an array of layered crop tops, plaids, and over-the-top accessories. While we're big fans of her wild-child style, it's refreshing to see she doesn't always dress like that on a day off — though, that's not to say she's some kind of slob on the weekends. Quite the opposite, in fact. Stefani looked chic with a distinctly London vibe while out and about with her family in Primrose Hill Park.
The tumbling layers are cozy and grown-up, and those flowing proportions are perfectly offset by the chunky, bold lines of her perfectly worn-in Dr. Martens. That, plus the fact that she actually managed to pull of what would otherwise be a very questionable hat, makes for one admirable outfit. But if this is throwing you off, don't worry. She's still got her signature red lip, perhaps knowing that even after all these years, we'd hardly recognize her without it.
Our only regret here is that we'd love to see the rest of this chic ensemble hinted at by the hems of her tailored trousers. We're guessing a slouchy statement blouse in a neutral tone? Though, knowing Gwen, she could totally throw us off with an old T-shirt (and still look great while doing it).
