Parody Pub Names Kim Jong Un Sexiest Man Alive, China Gets Excited

The Chinese Communist Party is absolutely delighted by Kim Jong Un's reign over The Onion's "Sexiest Man Alive" list. The North Korean "supreme leader" was awarded the esteemed title by the openly satirical news source. While most readers may recognize The Onion's jest, the CCP's People's Daily was super serious in congratulating the leader. Hey, maybe he just has a really great personality.
The Chinese publication directly quoted the parody, reprinting, "With his devastatingly handsome, round face, his boyish charm, and his strong, sturdy frame, this Pyongyang-bred heartthrob is every woman's dream come true." They then tried to assure readers of Jong Un's sexy appeal by compiling some of his finest photos. Yikes. Let's hope somebody, somewhere, is reveling in Dear Leader's sheer masculinity.
Unyielding satire is sometimes difficult to grasp. Yet, the absurdity of the title is pretty noticeable in the site's previous "sexy men" honorees: Bashar al-Assad, Bernie Madoff, and Ted Kaczynski. Well, it could be worse.
