Not Cool, Karl: First Look At His Makeup Line Omits Choupette Entirely

We're very disappointed in you, Karl. Sure, the teaser video for your upcoming makeup collection with Shu Uemura features all sorts of amazing products and cool illustrations – but whither Choupette? That chic kitty has its own Chanel bag and not one, but two maids, yet she couldn't make a cameo?

We will grudgingly admit that even though this teaser is appallingly kitty-free, it is kind of awesome. An illustrated Karl, plus an adorable new Lagerfeld creation called Mon Shu? Alright fine, we're totally in. It doesn't hurt that the makeup looks stunning — bright, vividly pigmented shades that are perfect for drawing with, be it on your face or on paper, à la Kaiser Karl himself.
