Wendy Nichol’s Video Lookbook Makes Us All Want To Be Bag Ladies

NYC rent is outrageous, the subway crowds make us mad, and quite frankly, there just isn't enough nature to satisfy our inner Heidi. Thankfully, Wendy Nichol has appealed to our simpler and grittier side (once again) with a video lookbook of petticoat-wearing bag ladies that are anything but plain-Janes. Take away the black and white cinematography and the creepy, barren trees, and you're left with a gem of a fall '11 collection that's ruggedly pretty, undoubtedly bohemian, and ultra-lux. We've got our peepers set on Wendy's collection of
weaved Bullet Bags, knitted and fringed scarves, and sleek, leather jewelry. Inspired by spiritual freedom and nomadic travels, the line also includes wide-brimmed hats and lots of luxurious leather bags for the journey. Take a couple minutes to check out Wendy Nichol's theatrical approach to a lookbook filled with pieces that can be lifted from the scene and easily transplanted right into our wardrobes (and NYC commutes). Maybe it's just us, but the vignette also totally makes our minds flash to Haillee Steinfeld in True Grit, minus the bloody revenge, add the killer accessories.
