Despite the fluctuating spring temps, we’re fully in a summer state of mind here at Refinery29, counting the days, minutes, and even seconds until it’s warm enough for us soak up some sun (slathered in SPF, of course). In the meantime, we’re prepping for any warm-weather, show-off-your-shoulders summer hairstyle possibilities, and first on our list is the adorable braided updo spotted at Rachel Roy’s fall '11 show. The easy-to-achieve look is definitely a little bit milkmaid, a little bit boho, but also seriously versatile: Stylist Ted Gibson added a pop of color to the ‘do by weaving brightly patterned strips Roy’s of fabric through the braids.
