Iggy Azalea Just Shut Down Those Heroin Rumors On Twitter

Iggy Azalea finds rumors that she's been using drugs pretty hilarious — but, she also wants the world to know that they are patently untrue. The "Fancy" rapper sent a tweet after her plane arrived in the land down under. "Just landed in australia and iam dying with laughter because nicks just showed me an article that says im a heroin addict. WHAT?! LOL." A photo of Azalea's slightly battered-looking hands cropped up online recently, sparking rumors that the singer was shooting up. It turns out, though, that those aren't track marks in the close-up image. They're actually just cat scratches, Azalea says. "Could be injecting heroin into my hands," the singer wrote, "OR could just be scratches from @AleHerself's evil cat that attacked me the other week." (We feel this: Sometimes, you just want to love on a cat who isn't interested in being cuddled. Nothing abnormal there.) The Aussie singer followed up that tweet with a cheeky, erudite message for anyone still harboring the idea that she's a secret drug addict.

For the uninitiated, Occam's razor is an age-old concept that essentially asserts: The fewer, more realistic assumptions made, the better. For example, if you hear hooves clip-clopping through Central Park, it's probably horses, even though it could be zebras: Assume the most likely scenario. Then again, the adage that "assume" makes and "ass" out of "u" and "me" may be applicable here, too. We'll let you make up your own mind about that one.
