Leighton Meester’s Cover Of “A Dream Of You” Will Help You Beat The Winter Chill

Leighton Meester's making a name for herself outside of the pop scene. She's traded her "Somebody to Love" beats for guitar strings and flowing melodies. And, boy does it fit her. The former CW girl teamed up with Dana Williams again for yet another splendid cover track. Like their Chris Bell cover, the duo's version of The Caravelles' "A Dream of You" is easy and breezy. Meester's vocals dance atop Williams' in wonderful harmony.  With a few songs under their belts, it's a wonder why these two haven't joined forces to create a super-folk duo. Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett released an album of standards covers last year, so who's to say these two can't do the same with folk and singer/songwriters? Shoot, why not enlist Scarlett Johansson while they're  at it. Her unique voice would mesh perfectly with these two.  In the meantime, press play and imagine you're somewhere swinging on a hammock with the breeze blowin'. It sure as hell beats the frigid cold the Northeast has buckled down for.
