Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen’s First Vine Is Appropriately Awkward

This has been a year of firsts for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. First, they designed a wedding dress. Now, the design duo is making their Vine debut — and, it's as awkward as we hoped.
While every other fashion person is hyperlapsing, New York Times fashion director Vanessa Friedman Vines her NYFW coverage. So, when she stopped by to see The Row's spring '15 collection, Friedman documented her pre-show pow-wow with the designers with a short video. And, where she described the duo as "looking very zen," the Olsen twins posed silently — quizzically looking off camera, as if wondering why Friedman's camera was lingering on them for so long. "Very zen" might translate to "quietly wondering whether this is a photo or video."
Friedman's social media nonconformism has blessed us with this behind-the-scenes gem, proving that even the most powerful designers might not be entirely up to date on their apps. While it's still unclear whether or not the Olsen twins knew they were being Vined, here's hoping we get some soundbites from them next season. (Who What Wear)
