The Spring Runway Look We Hope Never Catches On

Let's clear something up: Just because a look occurs on a Fashion Week runway does not mean we're necessarily excited about it. In fact, for nearly every ooh and aah we utter, there is a solid, "Oh, honey, no." We just try to focus on the positive around these parts. But, we'd be remiss if we let this one slide by without saying a prayer that it never, ever catches on: the wet and wavy 'dos seen at Phillip Lim's spring show.
We'd love this if it was just a mid-process shot — think about how cool her hair would look once it dries! Unfortunately, this is the finished product, and it's making us want to reach for our blotting papers. The way her hair is plastered against her forehead reminds us of a time when our own bangs turned this greasy — and not on purpose. We just want to hose her down with dry shampoo. Would that be overstepping a boundary?

That being said, we love a wet look that's part of a slicked-back, chic 'do. That way, it looks intentional. We also love messy, wavy hair. But, both together? There's just something about that juxtaposition that crosses the line from second-day hair to hair that's in dire need of a shower.
In conclusion, if we see this look on the street come April, we might actually arm ourselves with a dry-shampoo holster.
