Sigh. Just when we were all rosy-eyed thinking Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom might be getting back together, a rumor sprung up from the depths of the gossip wells that has die-hard fans weeping once more. According to reports on Page Six and Business Insider, Woman's Day has her paired with Australian billionaire James Packer.
Like Kerr, Packer recently announced a separation, from his wife Erica Baxter. The couple has apparently been friendly with Bloom and Kerr for years, even going on double-date vacations with them in the past. He also helped Kerr launch a line of beauty products, offering his business expertise.
Packer is 46 to Kerr's 30, and has three children with his former wife. The rumor has a ring of credibility because the Australian mag reporting it was once owned by Packer's family company, Consolidated Press Holdings Limited. Nobody has officially confirmed this, with reps from both sides declining to comment on the matter. If it is true, though, it sounds like a recipe for awkwardness at the neighborhood block party. Both Kerr and Packer grew up in the same town in the Australian state of New South Wales. Maybe it's a bit of a girl-next-door thing? (Business Insider)
