Because we're kind of getting to that point where we've almost had enough of "Get Lucky" and "Blurred Lines," (and "Wrecking Ball" wasn't exactly the uplifting jam we need right now), we're in desperate need of a new pre-party track to pump through our living rooms. You know, something that you can bounce to while you're putting on liquid eyeliner, and then enjoy that burst of recognition when you hear it on the dance floor four hours later. And, we're thinking Escort's new track "Cabaret" might be just the thing, but when given the work-over by fellow Brooklyn native Jacques Renault (who's remix of Midnight Magic's "Beam Me Up" is still playing on our music devices), it becomes a true summer fall jam. More organic than disco and dreamier than your run-of-the-mill four-four banger, "Cabaret" is just right for winding down those long days (and nights).
