Do Some Good With Your Holiday Shopping At This Fair-Trade Pop-Up

We've already heaped some praise on D.C.-based fair-trade brand One Mango Tree, a line of clothing and accessories designed in the District and handcrafted by artisans in Uganda. (Seriously, if you didn't scoop one of the convertible bucket bags before they sold out, you'll kick yourself.) But tonight, you have the perfect opportunity to check out the line for yourself: OMT is hosting Pop-Up Africa, an evening holiday market in Columbia Heights, featuring clothing and accessories from One Mango Tree, handmade jewelry from 31Bits and R29-fave Kora Designs, accessories from Indego Africa, and bags from Chikumbuso. If your holiday gifting entails prezzies for anyone who loves color and pattern, good deeds, and cool handmade treasures, this market is a must-go.
When: Today, December 5, from 5-9:30 p.m.
Where: Studio 1469, 1469 Harvard Street NW Rear (enter through alley off 15th Street); no phone.
