10 Miami Fashion Stereotypes (And How To Rock Them Right)

Like any city that hosts as many locals as it does spring breakers, Miami has more than its fair share of touristy treasures filling the boardwalks (and the Internet). We're not saying our fair (er... tan) city should go unrepresented in the sartorial sphere, but with all the distracting and sometimes hilarious Miami-themed goods out there, it's all too easy to go from charming to cheesy without even realizing it. With gear ranging from quirky keychains and tacky tees to majorly over-the-top embellishments, who wouldn't be tempted to snag a trinket or two (even if it's just for giggs)?
But resisting the sick, silly, and often just plain tacky souvenirs doesn't mean you have to hide your pride for the 305. Our city is beautiful and is clearly way more than a vacay destination, so we say, let's embrace the flamingo-laden, neon-hued MIA stereotypes and re-style them as amazeballs tributes to our city. We've compiled some of the most ostentatious of offenders (you know, to get it out of our system) as well as their cutie counterpart alternatives for the hip locals and local-wannabes.
Click through to find some of the cheesiest and the cutest Miami goods we can't wait to get our hands on (or off).
