Priding itself as being a neighborhood bar, Wood Tavern woos locals with its unpretentious vibe, satisfying happy hour prices, and hospitable service (they even have a charging station at the bar!). So starting this Sunday, Wood gives Miamians yet another reason to celebrate summer’s close proximity with its Sunday Backyard Boogie. The Boogies are complete with $4 burgers, $8 ribs, and all the summer sippers you could dream up, including sangria and sweet tea vodka — beginning at a mere $4.
The launch of the first Backyard Boogie sponsors the fundraising efforts of Kulturpark, a movement behind an abandoned amusement park in Berlin. Together with the local Berlin community, international art production professionals (including Miami’s own Anthony Spinello of Spinello Projects) and a group of urban planning experts, Kulturpark plans to create a future for the park as a place for imagination and creative growth. Become a $20 donor at the Backyard Boogie and drink free from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. DJs Dexter Love and DJ Ruen will leave you feelin’ groovy with their soul/funk/disco set, and suddenly the backyard is home to your perfect Sunday.
