Our New Favorite Line Is From Nashville, Not New York

Nashville, Tennessee is an excellent place for sourcing vintage wares (and, of course, listening to legit country music), but we had no idea we’d discover one of our new favorite lines there. TUFT — helmed by Jessica Jones, a superwoman designer who also seems to find the time to hold down a retail job while also freelance writing and designing — is like the personification of all our most girly sartorial dreams, with just enough youthful edge to keep it grounded.

Pretty-in-pink tea dresses are adorned with free-flying, bow-shaped tinsel, and the now-requisite cat shirt is made unique by Jones’ hand-painted renderings (so ‘90s, yet so right.) TUFT’s clothes are for a real-world storybook princess who also happens to listen to Grimes. Jones rounds out the TUFT collection with more quirky hand-painted goods (a strawberry-covered pouch, anyone?) and a healthy dose of hand-cobbled hair accessories. While TUFT is only available via Etsy and one select shop in Nashville (Local Honey), we have a feeling it won’t be that way for too much longer.
