No matter how old we get, the end of summer is always bittersweet. Sure, there are cooler temperatures to look forward to — with cozy outfits to match — but back-to-school season can be a drag, even for those well past graduation. To kick off the beginning of the end, head to The Fridge art space tomorrow night for Panda Head's End of Summer Bummer.
This night of summery short films made by favorites within the local art and fashion scene will definitely inspire you to make the most of your August. The evening's designers, photographers, and filmmakers have created 15 shorts in a variety of styles — all of which you can see in less than two hours. There will also be thematic art on display as part of the gallery's new multi-disciplinary installation, Fresh Produce. Tickets are $6 and the buzz is building, so we suggest you scoop yours before they sell out. Now, that would be a bummer.
When: Saturday August 4, 8-11 p.m.
Where: The Fridge, 516 1/2 8th Street SE (alley entrance); 202-664-4151.
