Rad Or Bad: Sporty Mesh And Fishnet

In a logical progression of the fashion industry's obsession with all things sheer, another see-through material made its way back to the runway: Fishnet. This time around, the look is slightly less Hot-Topic-goths and more sport-inspired, with athletic mesh and open-weave knits splashed across high-fashion pieces in a way that's really stands out. It's a look that we're a little confused about: On one hand, the juxtoposition of sporty fabrics and feminine silhouettes like pencil skirts and platform shoes is cheeky, but we just can't shake those connotations of kickball jerseys and '90s raver-wear. But, we'll throw it over to you — tell us, are sporty meshes and fishnets here to stay, or should the trend be thrown back to sea?
