In media offices all over the country today, journalists are sitting in front of the computer and thinking, "How can we make this story fresh? How can we cover 2013's Puppy Bowl in a way unlike anything we've ever done before? How?" Well, lucky us, we caught a break, because the wires tell us that, this year, The Big Game is getting cheerleaders. And these cheerleaders, well, they're hedgehogs.
"Working the hedgehog angle, are you?" our competitors might say. Indeed we are. This is the future, people. Everyone already knows that Animal Planet has puppies run amuck on a gridiron during the Super Bowl for those of us who prefer fur and fluff to field goals and fumbles. Oh, and the kitten-led halftime show? Old news.
