So, this is Big. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is holding a contest for nine emerging fashion designers. One of them will have the honor of dressing an awards escort at the 83rd Academy Awards on Sunday, February 27. Voting is open to the public, and we're so happy it is, because out of the nine designers in the running, three are from Chicago! Miriam Cecilia Carlson, Borris Powell, and James de Colon are all representing the Windy City. Voting begins tomorrow, and ends on February 21. Vote Chicago!
