Catch Never-Before-Seen Marilyn Monroe Snaps Right Here In S.F.

As we rapidly approach the 50th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s ill-timed death, it’s pretty hard to simply gloss over the memorial slideshows, tributes, and visual homages. But, when we heard that there was a chance to spy never-before-seen images of the legendary actress here in S.F., our ears (and eyes) immediately perked up. The timeless beauty looks beaming in the exclusive pics snapped by famed photog and supposed inventor of the pin-up portrait, Bruno Bernard (who has been credited for discovering the star).
In this compilation of captures at the San Francisco Art Exchange, on view now, you’ll see images of the icon’s Norma Jean days and outtakes from her first-ever professional photoshoot. The Marilyn Monroe ‘Intimate Exposures’ exhibit is a somber showcase of the timeless actress' life. And to think, you can see it all here in our hilly city (said to be a fave of Monroe’s). You better believe we’ll be first in line to catch a glimpse at this rare showing. (HuffPo SF)
