Johnathan Lawhorn
Model Off Duty
New York
Name: Johnathan
Tell us about your outfit: I bought the coat at the 11th & A flea market for $20 and then dry cleaned it to give it that extra snazz. Apparently, it belonged to a firemen in Leeds in 1952. It has his exact measurements inside the coat. The flannel also came from the 11th & A flea market for $10. I had been eyeing it for a few weeks. I just noticed today that the buttons have this cheesy detail with miniature anchors on them. I absolutely love it! Scarf is a standard Pashmina that I got from the 17th & 7th flea market to the tune of about $1. The jeans are actually a classic Diesel style, the Zathan, which I improperly cared for in order to destroy the denim. The Frye boots are from Metropolis on Third Avenue. And the bag is the Anna Corinna by Foley + Corinna. Not my usual style of bag but I managed to successfully incorporate into my wardrobe.
Who are you channeling? Channeling? I'm always channeling a clash between Southern and New England versions of "preppy disheveled" with a hint of NYC "model off-duty."
Who's your favorite designer? Favorite designer? Right now, at this moment I would definitely have to say Chris Benz. He makes me fall off my chair.
Anything you've got your eye on? Everything in Odin. I also have my eye out for a black jean but not a skinny, just a basic relaxed (but slim) straight leg.
