It seems like everywhere you turn in the city, there's another street fair, fair-trade cheese shop, or outdoor market. Now, Karen Seiger, author of Markets Of New York City , is giving us a first-hand look at this incredible resurgence. Tonight at the Tenement Museum, Seiger is hosting an awesome panel with Anne Saxelby of Saxelby Cheesemongers and Silk Screen Artist Kimm Alfonso to field questions and describe their experiences with the phenomenon that is NYC's handmade movement. So, if you've been jonesing to open your own stall, or just want some entrepreneurial tips, the talk will leaving you satisfied in more ways than one—there will be free artisanal American cheeses, handmade beef jerky, and, of course, vino.
