Score Free Chocolate-Baking Lessons With Elizabeth Falkner

Go ga-ga for the desserts at Citizen Cake? Now you can learn to bake similar treats right alongside the resto's owner and Top Chef-er, Elizabeth Falkner, at two free baking classes courtesy of Scharffen Berger Chocolate. Going down on Saturday, October 8th at CUESA's teaching kitchen, the very first "bean-to-bar" chocolate producers will be launching their contest, Elevate a Classic Dessert with Scharffen Berger Chocolate, with two of San Francisco’s most-prominent pastry chefs and chocolatiers. While Falkner shows guests how to create a delicious "Elevated” Chocolate-Gelato Sundae with Chocolate Cake Crumbles and Marshmallow Cream, Berkeley legend Alice Medrich will prepare a scrumptious Chocolate Cream Pie with Cinnamon and Ancho Chile. The best part: The event is absolutely free, but make sure you RSVP fast.
When: Saturday, October 8, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Cuesa Kitchen, 1 Ferry Building Suite 260; 855-601-1902.
