Former Monk’s Kettle Owners To Open New Watering Hole In The Mission

After leaving Mission watering hole and eatery Monk's Kettle not so long ago, former owners, Nat Cutler and Christian Albertson, are already springing back into action with another Mission spot just a few blocks away. Eater SF has the scoop that the two have just signed a lease at 740 Valencia, a former auto shop that will be transformed into a new beer-centric spot dubbed Abbot's Cellar. The new 3,000-square-foot venue, which is thought to be more upscale than Monk's Kettle, will serve 100 varieties of wine and have 24 beers on tap. With decor created by Lundberg Design, the place will sit 100 people throughout a bar and open kitchen, and will feature 24-foot ceilings and a see-through beer cellar. While the opening date is not set in stone, Mission residents should expect their new neighbor up and running this winter. More info at the link below.
