Hot Design Ticket: Catch Four Eames-Themed Flicks For $10

Eames Movie
If analyzing abstract art isn’t your forte, then maybe watching a film about it will help break it down for you. This Friday, the fine people over at Oddball Films in the Mission will be helping you do just that with their 4-for-1 film event dubbed Visionary Design: The Cinema of Charles and Ray Eames. Think of it as a celebration of the super-talented husband-and-wife Eames team best known for their contributions to architecture, furniture design (hello, the Eames chair!), industrial design, and manufacturing.
And, since the two were also filmmakers, the evening includes a bevy of clips they recorded between 1950 and 1982, all focused on translating abstract concepts into readily understood images. That, and a 1975 documentary about the groundbreaking duo.
