Breakfast, Revisited (Healthy Recipe Alert!)

Scrambled egg whites may do the trick for breakfast during the week, but come the weekend, there’s nothing better than a carb-loaded feast — even if you’re not hungover. Even so, summer is right around the corner, so if you want to enjoy the best of both worlds (amazing taste and a bikini-worthy body), you’ve got to try this amazing pancake recipe from the sassy gals behind the blog Dinner Was Delicious.
What is it that makes these flap jacks figure friendly you ask? For starters, they contain way less sugar than tradish cakes — but without sacrificing taste. Next, the fiber and protein content is amped up, thanks to the welcoming addition of nuts, juicy berries, and rhubarb. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Dinner Was Delicious recipe if it didn’t have a secret ingredient. In this case, it’s a shot of whiskey. It is the weekend, after all.
