There's been a rash of individuals tying HD cameras to balloons and sending them to the edge of space lately, often to demonstrate various things about various products. For instance, this video showcases the toughness of an iPad case quite well. What exactly the sushi chain Sticky Rice was trying to prove by gluing some otherwise delicious-looking rolls to a plate and sending them toward the edge of the exosphere we may never fully know.
